Oatmeal stuffed baked apple
You’ll need: 1 big apple, about 40g of oats, dash of cinnamon, any kind of sweetener if desired, 1-2 tbspoon apple sauce, a few tablespoons of milk
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (about 355° Fahrenheit)
2. Scoop out the apple making it look like a ‘bowl’ (but not all the way through the bottom).
3. In a bowl, combine oatmeal with cinnamon and sweetener. Then add the apple sauce and a few tablespoons of milk until the mixture is a bit wet but it shouldn’t be liquid or runny.
4. Fill the apple with as much oatmeal mixture as you can and put it into the oven.
5. Remove the apple from the oven after about 20 minutes. Enjoy!
Optional:
- Add grated carrot or chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, ..) to the oatmeal mixture
- After removing the apple from the oven, top it with 1 tbspoon of sugar and put it into the oven again under the broiler
